To setup your mobile device to download email to the mail app on your device, find the email settings on your device and add your BU account. It should work by simply choosing the type of connection, and then entering your email address and password. If you need to add it manually here are the additional settings. Also further down the page are step-by-step process for both iPhone and Android. As well as information about supported app versions.


e.g. on iPhone: select Settings > Email > Accounts

e.g. on Android: select Settings > Apps > Email > Gear symbol (settings)

  • Connection type: MS Exchange or activesync
  • Server: outlook.office365.com
  • use SSL
  • Domain\Username: yourUsername@brandonu.ca

    

iPhone steps:

  1. select Settings > Email > Accounts

  2. Click "Add Account".
  3. Choose the type as "Microsoft Exchange"
  4. Login with your BU email address and password. The description can be whatever you want, such as Exchange, or BU Work mail.
  5. Finally choose your options and hit "Save"
     


Android steps: 

  1. select Settings 
  2. choose Apps

  3. choose the Email App
  4. click on the Gear symbol (settings)
  5. choose "add an account" and enter your information
  6. choose the type as "Office 365" or Exchange (if you pick Exchange you will have to manually add the server information of outlook.office365.com)
     
  7. Complete the steps entering your email and password. You will also get a warning screen where you have to agree to the device being managed by the system.
