1. Alumni reports are run annually following Spring convocation and provided to the Advancement Office and to the Networks and Operations team, who moves these Student accounts into the Alumni Exchange group. Alumni accounts provide access to email only. 
  1. Alumni email accounts are maintained for use by the individual user only and is to be maintained in accordance with the IT acceptable use policy. 
  1. Alumni email accounts are not subscribed to BU_Students list. 
  1. Alumni email accounts that have been unused for a period of more than two years will be disabled. Daily reports of inactive alumni accounts are run – at 23 months of inactivity, an email is sent warning of account closure. At 24 months of inactivity, the account is disabled.  
  1. In keeping with IT Acceptable Use and other campus policies, there may be times when IT Services takes action to disable an Alumni account to mitigate a security threat or to enforce another policy. IT Services will inform Office of Advancement if this action is taken.
