The BU_Secure wireless network is intended for use by Brandon University Students, Faculty, and Staff. If you are not any of those, please use any of the other available wireless networks.
To connect to BU_Secure:
- Find the BU_Secure SSID listed in the available wireless networks and join it.
- You will be prompted to enter your BU username and password.
- You may also be prompted to accept a certificate. Please do so as it is important to keep your connection encrypted. Failure to do so will result in not being authenticated to the network and you will not be able to join.
- After you have entered your username/password and accepted the certificate you will be connected to the network and you will automatically join this network every time you are on campus.
Certain Android devices may give different prompts during connection. For details on how to connect on Android, Click --> Here
Please note that when you change your password you will not able to connect to the BU_Secure network. You will be required to re-login. Once you have cleared the network settings (following the steps below) you can reconnect (using the steps above).
- On Windows devices, find the BU_Secure SSID and right click on it and select Forget. (See Forget a Wifi network on Windows : Brandon University for more details)
- On Apple devices, follow this support article for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
- On Android devices, go to settings, connections, find and select BU_Secure, and select Forget or Delete. (See Forget a Wi-Fi network on Android : Brandon University for more details).
If you are having issues with any of these steps please visit or contact the BU HelpDesk located on the main floor of the John E. Robbins Library, email at helpdesk@brandonu.ca, or call 204-571-8500.
