This article will show you how to modify your security devices that you use for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). 



Please note that you cannot perform these steps unless you are able to successfully log in to your BU Account and your MFA settings. 

If you are locked out of your account or cannot move past your MFA, please contact the BU Helpdesk at helpdesk@brandonu.ca or (204) 571-8500.







  • Select "Update Info" under the Security info section




  • From here you can:
    • Change the default sign-in method (if you have multiple devices registered), 
    • change or delete existing devices, 
    • or if you lost a device you can force a "sign out" on all devices using your account. This action will disable any logged-in or connected sessions to your BU account, so that others will not be able to use or interact with BU-based Microsoft online services (Teams, OneDrive, Email) even if they have direct access to your lost/stolen device.
