Test microphone and speaker settings with Zoom
Step 1
If you have your own Zoom account, login to Zoom, click the Settings icon in the top right hand corner, select Audio from the left hand panel, then go to Step 2.
If you do not have your own Zoom account, open a web browser and go to the Zoom test site address (https://zoom.us/test).
This is just a test and does not connect to anyone else.
When you are in the test video conference, click the arrow beside the mic icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen, and then select Audio Settings.
Step 2
On the right hand side of the screen click on Test Speaker to see if you can hear sounds through your computer speakers. If you cannot hear sounds, try moving the Volume slide bar to the right. If that does not make a difference, then click the drop-down menu beside Test Speaker and see if there are any other options. Select another option and try the test again.
Click Test Mic and see if the input level bar moves when you speak. Below the Input level should be a Volume bar, try moving the slide bar all the way to the right and place a check mark beside Automatically adjust volume. If that does not make a difference, then click the drop-down menu beside Test Mic and see if there are any other options. Select another option and try the test again.
If the sounds and mic tests are not successful then we will need to look at other testing and hardware issues.
