Win 11 and Win 10  Mapped Drives for Staff  
Map a drive to staff share drive: 
Windows 11 (example with shared T drive mapping) 
  1. Connect to FortiClient (the BU vpn – virtual private network) 
  2. Click in the search field towards the bottom left hand side of the screen (the search field shows "Type here to search)
  3. Type “This PC” in the search field then click on “This PC
  4. In the next window, click on “... towards the top of the screen (it is a tab right of “View”)
  5. Click “Map Network Drive"
  6. Under Drive, choose a drive letter from the list at the bottom of these instructions  (example: select T: if you are looking to access department shared drives)
  7. Under folder, type \\bu-ad.brandonu.ca\Staff\shared 
  8. Select Connect using different credentials

  9. Click Finish 
  10. For the username type:  bu-ad\'username'    
  11. For the password type your BU password 
  12. Click OK, and your drive should connect and be listed

* If you are looking to access another directory other than the T: drive, please use the following drive letters and folder location path as indicated in the steps above

Windows 10 (example with shared drive mapping)

  4. In the next window, click on “Computer towards the top of the screen (it is a tab between “File” and “View”)
  5. Click “Map Network Drive", and “Map Network Drive” again 

  6. Under Drive, choose a drive letter from the list at the bottom of these instructions  (example; select T: if you are looking to access your personal home directory)* 
  7. Under folder, type \\bu-ad.brandonu.ca\Staff\shared  
  8. Select Connect using different credentials
  9. Click Finish 
  10. For the username type:  bu-ad\'username'    
  11. For the password type your BU password 
  12. Click OK, and your drive should connect and be listed

N Drive - Staff Home Directories (phasing out - recommendation is OneDrive)
