For BU Faculty and Staff, here is some helpful first-time info on the BU Moodle System




  • When Logging in to Moodle, please be sure to use your BU Username and Password (your BU email address will not work for login purposes) 


  • For gaining access to manage a new course on Moodle, all faculty/instructors are required to submit a "Instructors New Website Request". See the instructions here: Request a Moodle site - Moodle: Faculty - LibGuides at Brandon University.
    • If in Moodle there is already an existing titled course but not under your management, you will need to still submit a "Instructors New Website Request"  
    • You do not need to submit a new request if you are returning to manage a Moodle course that you already do manage.   


  • The main web browser supported for BU Moodle access is Mozilla Firefox.  Other browsers on desktop and mobile devices may work as well (Apple Safari, Google Chrome, MS Edge), but be advised there can be issues in viewing certain content such as instructors feedback notes. If there are any technical issues in viewing, please try the same process under the Mozilla Firefox browser.
